Blood Money 2, officially titled Human Expenditure Program, is a psychological horror clicker game developed by SHROOMYCHRIST. It serves as the sequel to the original BLOODMONEY!, expanding on the dark themes of exploitation, guilt, and control. Released in September 2025, this game blends virtual pet simulation with clicker mechanics and visual novel elements, created using RPG Maker. The game explores heavy topics like psychological horror, ethical dilemmas, violence, and gore, and it’s rated highly for its immersive story and voice acting.
How to play
- Clicker and Pet Sim Elements: The primary interaction is clicking on Harvey or icons to perform actions like feeding, petting, playing, or loving him. Each action earns you in-game currency (starting from interactions at Harvey’s “booth”), accelerating progress toward financial goals. Monitor meters for his food and mood levels, keep them balanced to prevent negative events.
- Minigames: There are five exhilarating minigames integrated into the experience, such as a baseball-themed one (reminiscent of Yakuza games). These provide variety, impact Harvey’s wellbeing, and advance the story.
- Choices and Memory Management: Make moral and ethical decisions during interactions. To maintain control, manage Harvey’s memory by ensuring he forgets past traumas. Poor choices can lead to him recalling events, altering the narrative path.
- Earning Money: Clicks and caregiving actions generate income. The more you interact (even if it involves “hurting” through certain choices), the faster you earn, tying back to the original game’s click-to-earn loop
