About Power Rangers Dino Charge 2
Power Rangers Dino Charge 2 is an action-packed online platformer game developed as a tie-in to the Power Rangers Dino Charge TV series. Released in 2015 by Nickelodeon, it’s a sequel to the original “Unleash the Power” game and features players taking on the role of one of eight Rangers: Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Black, Gold, Graphite, or Purple to defend the universe from the alien bounty hunter Sledge and his Vivix army.
The core storyline revolves around protecting powerful Energems, ancient artifacts guarded by dinosaurs, which grant the Rangers their abilities. Players must navigate through diverse environments like frozen Arctic landscapes, mysterious caves, and volcanoes, collecting Energems, defeating enemies, and upgrading Dino Zords to progress.
How to play
To start, select one of the eight available Rangers from the main menu. Your primary objective is to complete five levels by exploring environments, defeating Vivix enemies (which come unarmed, with blasters, or shields), locating and extracting Energems, upgrading your Zord, and conquering boss battles. Each level begins with energy readings to guide you toward hidden Energems; step into pulsating spots to fill a gauge and reveal them.
Once found, engage in a timed mini-game where you use a hammer or pickaxe to carefully free the Energem from ice or rock without causing cracks, as damage reduces your score. Points earned from Energems can be spent in the Zord Bay to upgrade components like the head (for dash), body (armor), core (energy), and wings (jump), improving ranks from F to A to enhance performance in Zord races and fights.
Controls
- Left/Right Arrow Keys: Move your Ranger left or right.
- Up Arrow Key: Jump over obstacles or platforms.
- Down Arrow Key: Activate the Zord when the power meter is full (signaled by “Zord Ready”).
- Space Bar: Attack with your Ranger’s sword.
- Monitor the top-left gauge for health, energy, and Zord progress, and the top-right for Energem readings. The bottom bar shows power for each attack.
