About ULTRAKILL
ULTRAKILL is a ultraviolent first-person shooter (FPS) that blends retro aesthetics with modern gameplay mechanics, drawing inspiration from classic titles like Doom and Quake, while incorporating stylish action elements similar to Devil May Cry. The plot is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has gone extinct due to endless wars and environmental collapse. Machines like the protagonist, V1—a blue, winged combat robot were created to wage war but now seek fuel in the form of blood.
With Earth’s surface depleted, V1 descends into the layers of Hell, which are teeming with demons, husks (remnants of human souls), and other machines, all vying for the remaining blood. The narrative unfolds through environmental storytelling, terminal logs, and boss encounters, exploring themes of violence, redemption, and the consequences of humanity’s hubris. The iconic tagline—”Mankind is dead. Blood is fuel. Hell is full.”—sets the tone for this descent into infernal chaos.

Gameplay
- You start with the Feedbacker (a parry arm for punching projectiles back at enemies) and pick up weapons like the Revolver in early levels. Weapons have variants (e.g., Piercer, Marksman, Sharpshooter for the Revolver) unlocked with “P” points earned from stylish play. Switch weapons quickly to chain attacks. Later weapons include Shotguns, Nailguns, Railcannons, and Rocket Launchers. No ammo limits, but cooldowns apply.
- V1 heals by bathing in fresh blood from enemies. Get up close for kills to maximize recovery—ranged attacks heal less.
- Build a combo meter by varying attacks, parrying, and quick kills. Bonuses like “+ULTRAKILL” (headshot explosion) or “+FIREWORKS” rack up points for higher ranks and P currency to buy upgrades.
- Time punches to deflect enemy projectiles, which can heal you and damage foes. Master this for advanced play.
- Levels have secrets, like hidden orbs or doors leading to bonus areas. P-rank levels by completing them fast, with all kills, and high style.
