About The Binding of Isaac
The Binding of Isaac is a roguelike video game designed by Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl, first released in 2011. Inspired by the biblical story of the same name, it follows Isaac, a young boy who must escape from his mother after she receives a message from God demanding his sacrifice. The game blends randomly generated dungeons, items, and enemies with a dark, unsettling narrative, retro-inspired pixel art, and challenging gameplay.
