About The Visitor
The Visitor is a classic point-and-click horror Flash game developed by Zeebarf (Jay Ziebarth) of ClickShake Games. It quickly gained cult status for its dark, atmospheric storytelling, gruesome body horror elements, and clever puzzle-solving mechanics. In the game, you control a small, pink alien parasite (resembling a leech or worm) that crash-lands on Earth after a meteorite strike during a stormy night. Your goal as the “Visitor” is to survive, grow stronger, and spread terror by consuming living creatures, starting small and evolving into a more formidable predator.
How to play
The Visitor is a straightforward point-and-click adventure, no timers, no combat, just exploration and lateral thinking. You interact with the environment by clicking objects, creatures, and hotspots to progress. The alien starts weak and must “evolve” by absorbing DNA from hosts, unlocking new abilities like jumping higher, stinging, or biting.
- Mouse: Click on interactive elements (glowing or highlighted on hover) to examine, move, or act. Right-clicking sometimes provides context or alternative actions.
- Evolution System: Consume creatures to gain traits (e.g., frog legs for jumping, scorpion tail for stinging). This visually transforms your alien and enables new interactions.
- Scene Progression: Each of the 10-ish scenes advances linearly but requires solving a puzzle to move forward. Backtrack if stuck, objects can be reused.
- Multiple Endings: In the finale, choices lead to three outcomes: a “good” alien victory, a twist betrayal, or total domination. Experiment to see them all.
