About The Sun For The Vampire 2
The Sun For The Vampire 2 is a adventure game developed by Mateusz Skutnik. In this adventure, you play as a plucky little vampire who’s tired of eternal darkness and desperately wants to bask in sunlight without bursting into flames. To achieve his dream, he must infiltrate a spooky, monster-filled castle to find a witch who holds the secret to sunlight immunity.
Unlike the first game, which focused more on exploration and bat-flying, the sequel introduces new mechanics like crate-lifting and puzzle-solving, making it feel fresh while retaining the adorable, hand-drawn art style and atmospheric gothic vibe.
How to play
Controls
- Movement: Use the A/D keys
- Bat Mode: Press W, Space, or Up arrow to transform into a bat. This lets you fly over spikes, gaps, and hazards, but it’s time-limited (a meter depletes while active, recharging when you revert).
- Crate Interaction (New in Sequel): Approach a wooden crate and press S or Down arrow to pick it up. Carry it around, then release to throw or place it. Use crates as platforms, to weigh down switches, or to block enemies/projectiles.
Gameplay
- Run, jump, and climb through castle rooms filled with crumbling floors, swinging blades, and patrolling guards. Avoid direct contact with wooden stakes, silver knives, or monsters—they kill instantly.
- Switch to bat mode for tight squeezes or high reaches, but manage your flight meter to avoid mid-air strandings.
- Flip switches (by landing on or throwing crates at them), redirect enemy attacks (e.g., luring guards into hazards), and stack crates for height. Later levels combine these with momentum-based throws and timing-based traps.
- Grab the shiny coin if you can (hidden in tricky spots for skilled runs), then reach the level door to progress.
