Breaking the Bank is the inaugural installment in the wildly popular Henry Stickmin series, created by Puffballs United (now known as Marcus Bromander). In this short, comedic point-and-click adventure, Henry attempts to rob a heavily fortified bank plopped right in the middle of a vast, barren desert. What starts as a simple heist spirals into a hilarious chain of chaotic decisions, failed gadgets, and over-the-top mishaps, hallmarks of the series’ absurd humor and parody of action movies.
How to play Breaking The Bank
The scene opens with a wide shot of the isolated desert bank, then zooms in on Henry standing by the left exterior wall, pondering his next move. You’ll see 3-6 clickable options (tools or actions), such as:
- Disguise: Dress up as a maintenance worker or guard.
- Tunnel: Use a shovel to tunnel underground.
- Laser Drill: Blast through the wall with high-tech firepower.
- Explosion: Go boom with dynamite or a wrecking ball.
- Teleporter: Beam yourself inside (spoiler: physics has opinions).
- Wreacking Ball: Use a crane to hang an iron ball to destroy the wall.
Each choice leads to a branching path with one of several endings:
- Success: Henry grabs the loot… but not without complications.
- Failure: Alarms blare, guards swarm, or gadgets backfire hilariously (e.g., teleporting into a vault full of sharks).
The screen fades to black with a snappy conclusion, often punctuated by sound effects and Henry’s deadpan reactions.
