About Shamaniac
Shamaniac is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Crounchy Brothers. The game features beautifully illustrated, atmospheric scenes set in a mystical forest and island environments, blending exploration, clever puzzles, and a touch of whimsy. The core story revolves around an ancient tree shaman who has foreseen your arrival through the stars. In exchange for a personal revelation (a quirky, fortune-teller-style message about your life), you must help him reunite with his five mischievous spirit assistants scattered across the map.
How to play Shamaniac
Shamaniac is played entirely with your mouse in a browser. Click to interact with objects, people, and environments. You begin in a forest clearing facing the wise old tree shaman. He’ll explain the situation and point you toward the map. Your main goal is to locate and “capture” all five spirit assistants (small, glowing creatures) by solving environmental puzzles in different areas.
Click on locations on the world map (a central hub screen) to travel. The map unlocks progressively as you progress. Key areas include:
- Forest paths and clearings.
- An underwater scene.
- A volcanic island.
- A bottom-left island with a code puzzle.
- Other hidden spots revealed through clues.
Solve puzzles to find assistants
- Each assistant is hidden behind a unique puzzle requiring interaction with scenery (e.g., clicking objects in sequence, matching patterns, or decoding symbols).
- Example: In one island area, solve a symbol code by observing patterns elsewhere, then pull a lever to trigger a memory game where you repeat a sequence of lighting lights.
