About Papa’s Sushiria
Papa’s Sushiria is the thirteenth installment in Flipline Studios’ popular Papa Louie restaurant time-management simulation series. Set in the vibrant coastal town of Sakura Bay, the game puts you in the role of a sushi chef at Papa Louie’s newest venture, a bustling sushi bar specializing in fresh rolls, onigiri rice balls, and creamy bubble teas.
The story kicks off with your character winning a backstage tour of the Sushiria. During the tour, Papa Louie shows off the kitchen and even treats you to a bubble tea. But disaster strikes as you leave, you accidentally knock over the restaurant’s lucky Maneki Neko (waving cat statue), shattering it.
Blaming the bad luck on the broken statue for a disastrous opening day with zero customers, Papa Louie heads off to find a replacement. You’re left in charge to run the restaurant, pay off the debt through tips, and turn things around by serving perfect sushi to a growing lineup of picky patrons.
How to play Papa’s Sushiria
Papa’s Sushiria is a mouse or touch-based game where you manage a single day at a time, divided into busy waves of customers. Your goal is to take orders accurately, prepare food precisely to match customer preferences (shown via an order ticket), and serve quickly to maximize points, tips, and rank progression. The gameplay loop revolves around four main stations, plus a lobby for seating customers.
Order Station
- Customers enter the lobby and take a seat (you can drag them to preferred tables for style points).
- Click on a customer to hear their order: They’ll specify the main dish (sushi roll or onigiri), fillings, rice type (white or brown), seaweed style (inside or outside), slice count, toppings and bubble tea flavor/complements.
Cook Station (Rice Preparation)
- Rinse and cook the rice in the cooker: Drag scoops of white or brown rice into the cooker, then set the timer based on the order
- Once cooked, transfer to the vinegar station: Sprinkle the exact amount of rice vinegar (too much or too little deducts points).
Build Station
- Lay out the nori (seaweed) sheet on the bamboo mat.
- If rice-on-the-outside is ordered, flip the nori and spread rice evenly (drag to cover without gaps or overlaps).
- Add fillings: Drag proteins (like salmon or shrimp), veggies (cucumber, avocado), and sauces in the precise order and quantity from the order ticket.
- Roll it up: Click and drag the mat to form a tight roll. For onigiri, shape the rice ball instead.
- Slice the roll: Use the knife to cut into the exact number of pieces requested (e.g., 6 or 8 slices). Uneven cuts lower scores.
Tea Station
- Fill the cup with tea base, add boba pearls or complements (like lychee or passion fruit popping boba), and pop the lid.
