About Jacksmith
Jacksmith is a whimsical crafting and strategy game developed by Flipline Studios. In this adventure, you play as Jacksmith, a clever donkey blacksmith and his loyal sheepdog apprentice Scout, on a quest to rescue the kidnapped Princess Liliana from the evil mouse wizard Dudley. To fund your journey and arm your allies, you run a mobile blacksmith shop, forging custom weapons and armor for warriors who join your cause.
How to play Jacksmith
Jacksmith is a point-and-click game controlled entirely with your mouse. The core loop alternates between crafting sessions (to build weapons and satisfy customer orders) and battle phases (where you support your warriors against enemies). Each day starts with a horn blast signaling open shop, and your goal is to craft high-quality gear quickly to earn gold, unlock upgrades, and advance the story.
Crafting is hands-on and varies slightly by weapon type (swords, bows, axes, hammers, shields, etc.), but follows this general flow.
- Select Ore: Click to choose the right metal (e.g., iron, gold) from your stockpile
- Melt in Furnace: Drag ore into the furnace; click/drag to stoke flames evenly until molten.
- Pour into Mold: Click the mold (e.g., sword blade or bow curve) and pour steadily, aim for even fill lines.
- Hammer/Shape: For blades/arrows: Click rapidly to hammer evenly. For bows: Stretch strings symmetrically.
- Assemble & Decorate: Attach handle, add gems/jewels for “Luck” boosts, and apply elemental infusions.
Battle Mechanics
After crafting (usually 3-5 orders per session), join the fray in your wagon:
- Support Fire: Click icons or hotkeys (1-7) to launch Scout’s cannonballsUnlock more ammo types progressively.
- Resource Gathering: Click floating gold coins, gems, and loot during fights to fund upgrades.
- Strategy: Position your cursor to target weak spots; elemental matchups turn tides (e.g., Water vs. Fire enemies). Battles auto-resolve based on your gear’s quality, but cannon help ensures victories.
