Papa Louie 3: When Sundaes Attack! is third installment in the Papa Louie platformer series, following Papa Louie (2007) and Papa Louie 2: When Burgers Attack! (2013). The game blends classic side-scrolling adventure gameplay with whimsical, food themed elements, where players battle through a candy-filled dimension overrun by dessert monsters.
Over two dozen loyal customers from Papa’s restaurants embark on a celebratory cruise aboard the S.S. Louie to unveil the new Seaside Freezeria. However, the event is crashed by returning villain Radley Madish and his new accomplice, Luau LePunch, who use stolen Warp Coins to open a portal and drag everyone, Papa Louie included—back to the sweeter side of the Land of Munchmore.
There, the captives are imprisoned and forced to build an army of slimy, terrifying Sundaesauruses (mutant sundae creatures) and other dessert-themed baddies like cherry bombs and bops (barrier-like enemies). Only Captain Cori, the ship’s commander, escapes capture and must lead the rescue effort, battling through eight levels across four themed worlds (Blue Moon, Neapolitan, Mint, and Chocolate Cookie) to free everyone and defeat the villains.
How to play Papa Louie 3: When Sundaes Attack!
Controls
- Arrow Keys or WASD: Move left/right, jump (Up/W), crouch (Down/S).
- Spacebar: Attack (with your character’s weapon), swim boost (underwater), or dash (while crouching, if unlocked).
Your goal is to navigate levels, defeat enemies, collect items, and rescue customers to build your team. Progress requires completing missions to earn Warp Keys, which unlock new areas. Lives are limited (you start with three), and losing all lives sends you back to the level start, but checkpoints (often after bosses) help. Coins collected can be spent on character outfits in the shop
