If you think regular tic-tac-toe is too easy, Ten Tictactoe takes the classic game to a whole new level. Instead of one board, you’re playing on nine mini tic-tac-toe boards at once! The goal is simple: win three mini-boards in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to claim victory. But here’s the twist — every move you make decides where your opponent has to play next.
How to Play Ten Tictactoe
-
Play on 9 Boards – Each move you make is inside one of the 9 mini tic-tac-toe boards.
-
The Twist – The square you choose determines which mini-board your opponent must play in next.
-
Example: If you place your mark in the top-left cell of any board, your opponent must play in the top-left mini-board.
-
-
Free Choice – Sometimes you can play anywhere on the grid. This happens when:
-
It’s your first move.
-
You’re sent to a board that’s already won.
-
You’re sent to a board that’s completely full.
-
-
Win Conditions –
-
Win a mini-board by getting 3 in a row.
-
Win the whole game by getting 3 mini-boards in a row.
-
Quick Rules
-
Your move position = opponent’s next board.
-
Blue border = X can play there.
-
Red border = O can play there.
Strategy Tips
-
Think ahead — don’t just focus on winning one mini-board, but where your move will send your opponent.
-
Avoid giving your opponent free choice unless it benefits you.
-
Control the center boards, since they connect to the most winning lines.
-
Sometimes blocking is better than winning if it keeps your opponent in a weak position.
Ten Tictactoe is easy to pick up but hard to master. It’s more strategic, more exciting, and way more challenging than regular tic-tac-toe. The best way to learn? Jump in and play — you’ll get the hang of it fast!
