About Riddle School
Riddle School is a classic point-and-click adventure game released in 2006. The game follows Phil Eggtree, an elementary school student at Riddle Elementary School, who finds himself stuck in a “Special Class for the Insane” after teasing another student (later revealed to be Smiley Sundae). Bored and frustrated with his teacher’s incorrect math lessons, Phil decides to escape the school entirely.
Along the way, players must navigate school hallways, interact with quirky characters, and solve clever puzzles involving everyday school items and obstacles, like barricaded doors and a blocking student named Chubb Munch. The story culminates in Phil sneaking a key from the principal and making his getaway.
How to play
Riddle School 1 is controlled entirely with the mouse in a point-and-click style. Click on objects, characters, or areas of the screen to interact, examine, or move. Navigation is done by clicking directional arrows or labels (e.g., “go right,” “go left,” “north”) that appear on the edges of the screen. Your inventory appears at the bottom or side, and you can click items to use them on other objects or people.
The goal is to collect items, talk to characters, and combine or use them creatively to progress and escape the school. There’s no time limit, and puzzles rely on logic and observation rather than quick reflexes. If you get stuck, try examining everything clickable—hotspots often glow or change the cursor when hovered over.
