About Feudalism 2
Feudalism 2 is a strategy and RPG hybrid game set in a medieval world where you play as a hero aiming to conquer all towns on the map and become the ultimate ruler. Developed by Vitaly Zaborov and released around 2008, it builds on the original Feudalism with an expanded world, six distinct factions, 12 unique heroes (a male and female from each faction), and a variety of weapons, armor, and skills. The game combines open-world exploration, army management, and real-time combat, offering a mix of strategic planning and action-packed battles. Your journey starts as a weak chieftain in a small town, but through quests, battles, and conquests, you aim to dominate the world.
How to play
Controls
- Movement: Use WASD or arrow keys to move your hero on the battlefield or world map. Click on a town to enter it.
- Combat:
- Attack: Press Spacebar to attack.
- Switch Weapons: Press Shift to swap between primary and secondary weapons (if equipped).
- Skills: Use keys 1-6 to activate special skills (unlocked as you level up).
- Potions: Press Z or X to use healing potions during battle.
- Navigation: On the world map, click destinations to travel. Be prepared for random encounters, such as rogue attacks or battles at sea
Gameplay
- Building your army:
- Visit towns you control to recruit troops. Stronger towns offer better units. Fill both front and back lines with soldiers and keep reserves for tough battles.
- Early on, your hero is weak, so rely on your army to tank damage while you attack from a distance.
- Quests and experience:
- Complete quests in towns for gold and experience. These are the easiest way to level up early in the game.
- As you level up, assign stat points to improve your hero’s strength, dexterity, or other attributes, and unlock powerful skills (e.g., Triple Attack, Mighty Blow, or Arrow Rain).
- Equipment and upgrades:
- Visit markets in towns to buy weapons, armor, and potions. Sell enemy loot for extra gold.
- Refine weapons at forges for small damage boosts (+3 or +4), which are significant early on.
- Conquering towns:
- Check a town’s protection level (displayed as stars in the top left corner of the town screen). Start with weaker villages (2-3 stars) to avoid overwhelming enemies.
- Defeat town champions in duels for better equipment drops.
- Combat strategy:
- Position your hero behind your troops to avoid early death, especially at low levels (1-5).
- Use special skills (e.g., Bladestorm, Meteor Strike) for high damage or crowd control. Skills vary by weapon type (e.g., katana, bow, spear).
- Manage potions carefully to heal during tough battles.
The game’s graphics are simple, and battles can feel repetitive, but its core mechanics and strategic depth make it engaging. Be aware that some features, like custom characters, may not work on modern platforms due to the end of Flash support.
